Why does the colour of Moon Boost look different from the website photo?Updated 2 years ago

At Graydon Skincare, we aim to be the most transparent brand we can be. Due to the nature of the botanical ingredients we use, the colour of our products may vary between batches, and over time. This is a normal characteristic of plant-based ingredients, and we want to assure you that our products are safe and effective when used within their indicated shelf life.

Our multivitamin Moon Boost Serum presents variation in its orange colour between batches for this same reason. Specifically, the vitamin F remains stable but can vary in colour when combined with other ingredients in the formula. We can assure you; the serum remains stable and effective.

The vitamin C used in our Moon Boost Serum is called tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which is an oil-soluble liquid that is highly stable. Unlike water-soluble L-ascorbic acid, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate does not degrade when it comes into contact with light and air. For additional clarity, we have also conducted tests to confirm the colour change is not due to the oxidation of the Vitamin C in our formula.

Because the form of vitamin C used in Moon Boost Serum remains stable when exposed to light and air, we consciously decided to house this serum in a clear glass bottle. We feel that its glass bottle adds an extra layer of transparency. It also makes the packaging easily recyclable.
